Episode 5 of WandaVision has only just arrived on Disney+ and it has already broken the internet. The episode is a major one as we head towards the endgame of the series, as the mysteries of Westview continue to reveal themselves.

In an episode full of moments fans will undoubtedly love, Vision begins to discover that Westview is not as it seems, and SWORD begins to take the fight to Wanda.

With a lot of weirdness, MCU name drops and amazing surprises, “On a Very Special Episode…” is jam packed full of moments that will make MCU fans’ jaws drop and keep them talking long after the episode is over.

5. Captain Marvel name drop on WandaVision

The scene in which Captain Marvel is referenced is a telling one, mainly due to the reaction from Monica Rambeau.

During the scene in question, Jimmy Woo, Darcy Lewis and Monica discuss who the strongest Avenger is between the Scarlet Witch and Carol Danvers. Monica believes that Wanda would have ended Thanos if it was not for the blitz he rained down on the battlefield. However, Woo debates that Captain Marvel got closer to defeating the Mad Titan, which leads to an interesting reaction from Monica.

Monica’s reaction seems to be one of anger or irritation, as she tries to avoid the topic of Carol entirely. This may be due to Captain Marvel leaving Earth, Maria’s death or something else entirely.

This moment was telling as it undoubtedly set up a confrontation between both Monica and Carol in the future, as whatever grudge Monica has will likely be explored in Captain Marvel 2, where the pair will finally meet again for presumably the first time since 1995.
