1. The Bughead reunion

Like Veronica and Archie’s split, Betty and Jughead’s break-up didn’t send shockwaves through the very core of Riverdale in the way that many thought it would. The revelation that Betty had temporarily strayed with Archie didn’t result in the hard feelings between the pair that could have developed, but it did create a quiet rift that continued to grow. And with that, they quietly broke up while acknowledging that they would always love each other.

However, the pair will reunite for the first time in seven years when Archie calls them all together to help save Riverdale. As the above photo suggests, things will no doubt be awkward for the pair in the beginning, with Jughead probably feeling a little upset that none of his friends kept the promise to meet up with him one year after their graduation.

However, it’s also worth noting that Betty and Jughead end up sitting beside each other (like they used to when they were together). Is that a sign that the pair will inevitably find their way back to each other? The more things change, the more they stay the same, right?
