WandaVision’s most recent episode has left viewers in complete shock but what did Wanda do to [SPOILER] and what does it all mean?

WandaVision has become a fixture of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans’ lives over the past few weeks. Each episode of the Disney Plus show has churned out a cliffhanger more jaw-dropping than the previous one, leaving fans hooked and ready to tune in each and every week.

Vision’s (Paul Bettany) world was turned upside down lately. The Android Avenger discovered that Westview wasn’t what he thought it was. He finally found out that his wife Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) may have been involved in the Westview anomaly and that Westview itself may not be real.

Things got even stranger when the pair’s argument was interrupted by Pietro Maximoff. Not the Pietro from the MCU (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) but the one from Fox’s X-Men film series portrayed by Evan Peters.

What happened in WandaVision Episode 6?

In WandaVision Episode 6, the Visions celebrate Halloween and welcome Pietro into the family. However, Vision remained curious after his arguments with Wanda in the previous offering. From there, he went off on his own and ventured towards the end of town, particularly heading towards Ellis Avenue – a place Wanda warned the children not to go.

However, upon getting there, he discovered that the residents of Westview were getting less and less active. He then came across Agnes as well and, in the process, “woke her up”. Upon doing so, she revealed that he was an Avenger and that he was dead in the real world.

A shocked Vision turned the Agnes character back on and allowed the bubbly personality to depart. He then ventured out of Westview through the Hex’s energy field to find soldiers waiting for him. However, he quickly began to disintegrate as a result – with Hayward doing nothing to help him.

When his son Billy heard him cry for help, Wanda resized the Westview energy field, making it bigger than before, enveloping a string of SWORD agents, Dr. Darcy Lewis and almost doing the same to Hayward.

What does the Ending of WandaVision Episode 6 mean?

It’s interesting that so much of WandaVision Episode 6 was focused on the edge of town. The children were told to stay away from it while Vision couldn’t help but head towards it. Meanwhile, everyone who went there seemed to experience difficulty maintaining their Westview characters.

The Scarlet Witch’s decision to make the Westview Hex bigger literally pushes the edge of town further and further away from where it was – and perhaps more importantly, away from Westview itself.  Of course, she did this to ensure Vision remained alive – and rest assured, she did save him – but in the process, she has made Westview bigger on the inside and the Westview anomaly bigger on the outside.

The soldiers on the inside will no doubt be cast as Westview residents, but what does this mean for Darcy Lewis? Will she able to negate the effect of the Hex since she knows so much? We’ll have to wait and see but what we can take away from this is that Wanda is more powerful than ever, Vision is still alive and both Billy and Tommy have gained their powers.

The show truly does get bigger and better each and every week.

WandaVision adds a new episode on Disney+ every Friday from midnight.
