Ms. Marvel is not coming to Disney Plus in Spring 2021

Ms. Marvel will not be coming to Disney Plus in Spring 2021. Instead, Disney Plus appears to be holding the series for late 2021.

During the Disney Plus Winter Television Critics Association presentation on Feb. 24.,  Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios and Chief Creative Officer for Marvel, helped reveal a variety of exciting news about the next wave of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies and shows.

Among the presentation’s big announcements were the premiere date for a number of previously announced Disney Plus originals including Star Wars: The Bad Batch and Loki which will premiere this May and June, respectively. Noticeably missing from the schedule was Ms. Marvel, which many fans had hoped might drop sometime in Spring 2021.

While a Spring 2021 premiere date for Ms. Marvel season 1 can officially be ruled out of the question at this time, the good news is there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Although Ms. Marvel will not be arriving in the spring, the series has been confirmed for a 2021 release! So how soon could Ms. Marvel arrive?

Possible premiere dates for Ms. Marvel

As some eagle-eyed fans might have noticed, the official show page for Ms. Marvel notes the original series is coming to Disney Plus in late 2021 which helps to narrow down the possible release timeline for the show’s debut season!

While “late 2021” is still a bit vague, it seems safe to assume we’d be looking at the final quarter of 2021 putting us somewhere between October and December 2021.

If the rumors about The Mandalorian season 3 being delayed until 2022 turn out to be true, Disney Plus could be in need of a show to take its spot this fall and Ms. Marvel would be a perfect choice! This could set the stage for a late October premiere date for the Iman Vellani led superhero series.
