5. Sitcom Interviews for WandaVision

Taking cues from incredibly popular shows such as The Office and Modern Family, this episode of WandaVision features the characters actually breaking the fourth wall, hence the title of the episode.

The episode features an unusual interview set-up in which the characters actually speak to, well, nothing behind the camera… until Wanda realizes there is somebody there. This allows us to see what they think about everything that is occurring throughout the episode and their thought processes behind some of their decisions. These interviews give us some terrific moments, such as Wanda’s relatable “I’m fine, I’m fine…” rambling and Kathryn Hahn’s brilliant comedy (did you know she bit a kid once?).

More hilarity ensues from these moments, such as Vision commenting on the ridiculousness of the entire interview process and the interview in which Wanda questions who’s behind the camera while she’s speaking – a moment that really displays how she’s beginning to lose control of the reality that she apparently created.

Whilst providing comedy, these moments also provide some insight into how the characters are thinking and results in some of the best moments in the entire episode as well as being a terrific parody of some of the best sitcoms and television series in recent years.
