10. Deadpool beats the Skrulls

Comic book: Deadpool No. 3

Writer: Daniel Way

For all of Wade’s unprofessionalism, he’s one of the best mercenaries in the world. He’s shown multiple times that he’s more than capable of beating almost everyone he crosses paths with. Because of this, Nick Fury himself went to Wade to complete a job. He needed the secret to killing the Skrull Queen and Deadpool was the man for the job.

He did the job better than expected. Wade also did it with a personal touch, tricking the Skrulls into using his DNA for their new Super Skrulls. Problem is, Wade’s DNA is specifically designed for him. It stops his cancer from killing him. Without it, they exploded. After the Skrulls were defeated, Wade went to send Fury his information. Unfortunately, that info was intercepted by Norman Osborn.

9. Deadpool annoys Norman Osborn

Comic book: Deadpool No. 3

Writer: Daniel Way

Since the information never got to Nick Fury, Wade was never paid. After that, Norman Osborn took it upon himself to try and kill Deadpool. This way, no one would find out how Osborn got the weapon to save the world from the Skrulls. That was a mistake. He should have left Wade alone.

Wade showed up at Avengers Tower hoping to force Osborn to give him the money he’s owed. That didn’t work. In fact, Wade was lucky he survived. Next, Wade teleported into a studio while Osborn was getting interviewed with a sign that said, “Respawn. LOL” and teleported right back out. That made Osborn get Bullseye to try and kill him. That also didn’t work (see section No. 1). In the end, Wade stopped annoying Osborn and Osborn ultimately left him alone. A short, but funny rivalry.
