“‘Mister Stark, I don’t feel so good.” – Peter Parker

8. I don’t feel so good

Marvel movie: Avengers: Infinity War

Thanos snapped his fingers and won. Half of the life in the universe was blipped out of existence. We watched as our favorite heroes turned to dust and floated away. Even then, the people in the movie had it worse. Rocket watched as Groot faded away. The King of Wakanda turned to dust in Okoye’s hand as he was giving her encouraging words. And then there’s Peter Parker. Tony Stark watched as someone he probably considered a son was terrified and turned to dust.

Peter looked at Iron Man and said, “Mister Stark? I don’t feel so good.” He falls into Tony’s arms and cries. Peter is a 15-year-old kid pleading for his life. Confused by what’s going on. As much as Tony tried to console him, even the Invincible Iron Man was powerless. A heartbreaking moment by anyone’s standards.

Of course, Tom Holland was going to be back. His next movie was announced and you can’t kill Spider-Man like that. At least not without building up to it. Nevertheless, seeing him fade away with that line was emotional. When this happened, there wasn’t a sound from anyone in the theaters. It’s something that rarely happens. Especially not in a comic book movie.
