10 actors who could play the Man of Steel in the DCEU’s Superman reboot

2. Michael B. Jordan
This one is a no-brainer. There are so many fan-made posters and images of Michael B. Jordan as Superman, one can be misled to believe he’s actually played the part.
Jordan is no newcomer to the superhero genre — he played Johnny Storm/ Human Torch in the much-reviled 2015 film Fantastic Four. He returned to the genre as one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s most realistic villains, Erik Killmonger, in the Oscar Award-winning Black Panther.
Jordan has the range to play Clark Kent’s goofiness and Superman’s earnestness. Given Jordan’s acting chops and fan-favourite status, it would be no surprise if he finally donned the iconic red cape. Some would argue that his casting has been a long time coming.
1. Rahul Kohli
How has Rahul Kohli not bagged a superhero role yet? That’s the question everyone’s been asking. With his good looks, charming and down-to-earth personality, Kohli seems like he should be a shoo-in to wear a cape and cowl.
He’s another mainstay of the superhero genre, without being the leading man. Kohli starred in the comic book adaptation iZombie, appeared in a few episodes of The CW’s Supergirl, and has voiced Scarecrow on Harley Quinn. Is the Kryptonian hero next in line for this British actor?
In 2020, Kohli stole hearts as the gentle and kind Owen on Netflix’s The Haunting of Bly Manor, adding to his acting repertoire. Honestly, by this point, he really should be headlining a franchise.
There has been some controversy surrounding Warner Bros. recently, but it seems that the studio is finally committed to bringing more diversity to the screen with the addition of Ta-Nehisi Coates to its writing team, and a possible chance to see an actor of color play the role of Superman.
