Who is the best character from Thor: The Dark World?

Marvel character: Loki

Thor: The Dark World is this writer’s vote for the most disappointing Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. Malekith should have been one of the most interesting characters in the MCU. Instead, he was a bland and unexceptional villain. At least Whiplash had his moments with his bird. Malekith had nothing. He’s the biggest reason why this movie was a disappointment.

Thor was better than he was in the previous film, but without a villain to fight, he couldn’t overly improve. He had just a few funny moments and a couple of good fight scenes. Again, Loki was there to make sure the movie wasn’t completely bad.

Loki spent a good portion of Thor: The Dark World in a cell. Not being able to run around freely didn’t stop him from shining. Seeing Loki disheveled after his mother died was a first. Normally Loki looks pristine. It showed that even the God of Mischief has emotions.

Later, he had a hilarious moment when he changed into Captain America and mocked him for being too wholesome and good. When he took Odin’s place at the end, it was a profound scene. We thought he was dead (we should have known better). In actuality, he was sitting on the throne. A fitting ending to the guy who ruled the first two Thor projects.

Honorable mention: Thor
