Who is the best character from Spider-Man: Homecoming?

Marvel character: Spider-Man/Peter Parker

After Spider-Man’s debut in Captain America: Civil War, MCU fans were patiently waiting for his solo movie. Sure, he was good alongside the Avengers, but how would he do on his own? Does Tom Holland have what it takes to be the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man? He answered those questions by putting on a heck of a performance. Proving that he’s the Spider-Man and Peter Parker that we deserve.

There’s a difference between Peter Parker and Spider-Man. As we’ve seen in superhero movies with secret identities, a person can portray one well, but not the other. Tom Holland did both.

As Peter, he was the insecure kid with powers he knew he couldn’t use without revealing his secret identity. This meant letting people like Flash Thompson bully him and he couldn’t respond. As Spider-Man, he dealt with being a reserve Avenger like any teenager would. Eager to help to the point that he made life-threatening mistakes.

Holland combined the two personas like no one else before him could. Tobey Maguire is a legend as Spider-Man and despite the movies not being well-received, Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man/Peter Parker performance is looked at as a success. Nonetheless, neither of them compares to what Tom Holland did here. Easily the MVP of this movie.
