Who is the best character from Thor Ragnarok?
Marvel character: Thor
It took a while, but Thor was finally done right in a solo movie. Taika Waititi directed Thor and it became one of everyone’s favorite MCU movies. Taika Waititi cut on the lights in Thor’s life. Getting rid of the excessive darkness and adding levity made all the difference. When things got too goofy, the gears would smoothly shift. Reminding everyone that while this was a light-hearted movie, this was still a project to be taken seriously.
Thor went through a lot. His father died, found out that he lied about having an older sibling, and his hammer was destroyed. And while he was gone, Hela killed a lot of his friends and many of the citizens of Asgard. Not to mention Thor was used by the Grandmaster as a fighter against someone he considered a friend. Thor was beat up physically and emotionally from start to finish, yet he managed to keep it together and win the day.
It must have been a relief for Chris Hemsworth to play this Thor. He was the Thor people liked from the Avengers projects. He could still be the powerful God of Thunder, but without the doom and gloom. Hopefully, we’ll get the same in Thor: Love and Thunder.
