Who is the best character from Iron Man?

Marvel character: Tony Stark/Iron Man

Iron Man may not have been the first hero in terms of the time, but it was the movie that started MCU. There was a lot riding on this film.

First, was Robert Downey Jr. going to keep it together? RDJ had a few unsavory moments in his life. Marvel put their faith in him and it more than worked out. Who knows what their plan was. Maybe the plan was for only three Iron Man movies and bow out. Instead, he became the face of a franchise. Even without the armor, Tony Stark’s charisma made him a treasure.

This was the obvious choice. Without Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, this movie flops and does so hard. James Rhodes didn’t come together until Iron Man 2 when Don Cheadle played him. Gwyneth Paltrow wasn’t an important enough character. And the villains were, well, not interesting. Jeff Bridges is a legend, but he wasn’t enough to keep viewers interested in the movie.

Everything that made this movie classic starts and ends with Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark. He was entertaining when things got dry and heartwarming when the scene called for it. And this was only the beginning of his journey.

Honorable mention: Phil Coulson
