7. Monica Rambeau
Monica Rambeau began the season as another member of Wanda’s show and her life. From the WandaVision trailers, however, we knew that she was going to be more than just another citizen in Westview. She’s Maria Rambuea’s daughter Monica from Captain Marvel. To comic book fans, she’s one of the most powerful characters in Marvel Comics. You can call her Captain Marvel, Photon or Spectrum; Whatever the name, she’s a big time threat to anyone in her way.
Her progression to gaining powers was done to perfection in WandaVision. She went from another quirky supporting character in Wanda and Vision’s life to a formidable ally that wasn’t afraid to stand up to a corrupt authority figure or do the right thing. Despite the danger she was in, Monica wasn’t scared. She even went through the Westview forcefield knowing that it could kill her. Once Monica got into Westview, she confronted Wanda – a person with enough power to give her a new memory, eject her from Westview (again), or hurt her. And yet, she didn’t care as long as she was doing the right thing.
This was the best way to introduce the adult version of Monica Rambeau to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She was never scared, known for working hard, and left us wondering why she was mad at Carol Danvers. Maybe the best part of it all, however, was her displaying her powers. This shows that Marvel Studios has a plan for her.
