4. Vision

Vision was a complex character. He was still the monotone and intelligent android that we knew from before – except this time he had more naivety in him. Those naïve moments throughout WandaVision were unlike him. It’s not as if he didn’t understand human traits. That’s normal. It was things like accepting a piece of gum or talking to the audience (episode 7 Breaking the Fourth Wall)  that seemed unlike the Vision we knew. And it was these little things that added a great deal to his character, making him a little more fun.

The humorous aspect to his personality was all well and good, but he didn’t truly become great until episode 5, On a Very Special Episode…, when Vision finally saw things for what they were. He then started questioning everything that was going on and confronted Wanda. From there on, he started to seem more like the Vision we know. He was no longer just the TV dad and husband. He was becoming a hero again – a well-timed change.

Vision’s slow evolution back into the hero that we know progressed perfectly. Before everyone got tired of him being too innocent, he started getting smarter. The creative team knew exactly what they were doing with him. And this made his eventual fate even sadder.
