Gwyneth Paltrow reveals if she will ever return to the MCU
By Liam Clark
Gwyneth Paltrow has commented on the prospect of returning to the MCU as Pepper Potts.
In an interview with People, Gwyneth Paltrow revealed whether she would return to the role of Pepper Potts in future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Paltrow has appeared as Iron Man’s love interest-turned-superhero in a total of 7 movies, including the Iron Man trilogy, three Avengers movies and Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Paltrow’s comments are sure to be received with a sigh of relief for fans, as she claimed that she is open to returning to the role in a certain capacity.
"“I think if it was a small part that I could do in like a day or two, I would of course be open to that.”"
Of course this no doubt dashes fans’ hopes of ever seeing another massive appearance from character but these comments come after the actor revealed back in 2019 that she was putting acting on the back-burner to focus on her efforts on the beauty brand she created called Gloop.
"“I wouldn’t say I’m that passionate about it anymore…I have had a lot of good luck and a lot of hard work, which led to a really good film career…at a certain point I felt like it wasn’t what I wanted to do …so I did a little pivot.”"
Is Gwyneth Paltrow returning as Pepper Potts in the MCU Phase Four?
Though it seems like Pepper Potts will no longer be a major character in the MCU going forward, it seems that Paltrow would return for a small role in the MCU, which is sure to make fans of the character very happy.
Pepper was last seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during the events of Avengers: Endgame, where the character donned her own form of the Iron Man armor (titled the Rescue Armor).
Fans have been clamoring to see more of Potts in action as the superhero Rescue, and if Marvel can figure out a way to incorporate this into a plot (most likely in Armor Wars) then it is likely that we will see Paltrow in the MCU once more.
