This Wednesday, a new episode of Riverdale season 5 airs on The CW. The network’s long-running teen thriller TV series has offered up its most innovative adventure since its first. Now it’s back with a new installment.
With its seven-year time-jump now in full swing, Riverdale season 5 has been meandering in different directions over the past couple of episodes. Its primary characters are now young adults and many of them are attempting to either escape their past from Riverdale or, well, escape their past in it. Either way, it doesn’t take a master detective to know that secrets don’t stay buried in that town.

Betty Cooper brought an emotional end to her friends-with-benefits relationship with Archie Andrews in last week’s installment. It was an emotional experience for Archie too but he knew that his heart belonged to Veronica Lodge, so it wasn’t all that surprising when “Varchie” shared a touching reunion kiss.
Betty, however, will reunite with her former love Jughead Jones in this week’s episode as the pair will end up in each other’s company (for more than a few grunts this time too) and undoubtedly open up old wounds. How will their adventure together in “Destroyer” turn out? Meanwhile, Betty herself will be seeking some justice.
