A new rumor suggests we should expect a summer release for DC’s Titans season 3 on HBO Max.

A rumor suggests that Titans season 3 may finally be on the horizon. Like many TV shows, the former DC Universe series has been off the air since fall 2019 after the production shutdown prevented it from beginning filming of the third season.

However, filming for season 3 did begin in October, making the third season feel more tangible than before. And now it seems that it could be more tangible than ever as the release date might have been revealed.

When is Titans season 3 released?

According to a report from The Vulcan Reporter, Titans season 3 will drop on HBO Max on July 15, 2021. The outlet also theorizes that it could release on Netflix internationally in January 2022.

As production on Titans‘ third season is expected to conclude June 10, 2021, the July date does sound a little shocking considering that doesn’t leave a lot of time to promote or advertise in between. Granted, HBO Max could always start advertising soon but, at this point, we have not got even one teaser yet

TVR also suggests that the first three episodes of season 3 will drop simultaneously while the other episodes will release weekly up until the finale (presumably in September). This does fit the pattern of how Doom Patrol season 2 was released.

It’s worth noting that this release date has not been officially confirmed as of yet and thus should be classed as rumor until an announcement is made by HBO Max.

How many episodes are in Titans season 3?

Though not officially confirmed, TVR reports that Titans season 3 will consist of 13 episodes – which sounds about right considering season 2 consisted of the same amount.

Moreover, TVR also seemingly obtained the episode titles for the first ten episodes of the upcoming season of DC’s Titans. The first episode credits both regular Titans scribes Richard Hatem and Geoff Johns, whereas the second and third episode credits Tom Pabst and Jamie Gorenberg as writers. The episode titles can be found below:

  • Episode 1 “Barbara Gordon” (Written By: Richard Hatem & Geoff Johns)
  • Episode 2 “Red Hood” (Written By: Tom Pabst)
  • Episode 3 “Hank & Dove” (Written By: Jamie Gorenberg)
  • Episode 4 “Blackfire”
  • Episode 5 “Lazarus”
  • Episode 6 “Lady Vic”
  • Episode 7 “51 Percent”
  • Episode 8 “Home”
  • Episode 9 “Souls”
  • Episode 10 “Troubled Water”

Titans stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Alan Ritchson, Minka Kelly, Ryan Potter, Curran Walters, Conor Leslie, Chelsea Zhang, Joshua Orpin and Damaris Lewis. Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman and Greg Berlanti write the series.

Johns, Goldsman, Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Greg Walker and John Fawcett are executive producers. Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions are producing the series in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Titans seasons 1 and 2 are on HBO Max in the U.S. and Netflix internationally. Titans season 3 is expected to premiere sometime in 2021 on HBO Max.
