Ranking of Marvel characters based on dateability – 17. The Hulk/Bruce Banner

If you want to date the Hulk, there is the caveat that you are also dating Bruce Banner and vice versa. This means that you’re getting two for the price of one when it comes to potential partners.

While we would never actually want to date someone who is a Jekyll/Hyde type of personality, we admit that over the years, both Bruce Banner (who is much more mild-mannered) and the Hulk have really evolved into well-rounded individuals who we would absolutely go on a date with. At the same time, we really can’t rank him higher because this is a dual personality that we are dating, so depending on who you get, you might be with the perfect match for you, but what happens when that switch flips and his alter-ego shows up?

It’s hard to really decide who you are dating when your partner can flip a switch and become a green giant with some anger issues. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t deserve love and romance. And we remember how he was with Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff, there was a sweetness and romance there that transcended the anger and gave him a sense of humanity that we can all appreciate.

And if you are looking to plan a date, at least you know you have options, because there is the science of Bruce Banner (what about a date to a science or natural history museum) or the strength and power of the Hulk (maybe a gym date?). There are a lot of ways we can make this work, but you just have to remember that some days you may be dating Bruce and other days it might be the Hulk.
