Ranking of Marvel characters based on dateability – 24. Doctor Strange

Don’t get me wrong, Doctor Strange (also known as Dr. Stephen Strange, so basically the same thing) is a bit of a jerk at times. He brushes people off, he uses his gifts against people (for example Thor) for fun, and he generally isn’t the first choice for dating prowess. (Bonus points for Benedict Cumberbatch though.)

And while you might be wondering why I would even consider him dateable with a list of flaws like that, there is something about Strange that leaves you coming back for more. In fact, it really seems like he is the kind of person that you need to really get to know better before brushing him off as a bad bet.

Not only has he proven that he is loyal, but he is also willing to do just about anything for other people. Even knowing that he would die and essentially lose years of his own life, he did what he could to stop Thanos. And while his decision might have been based on his ability to see future probabilities, there is still a sense of self-sacrifice that proves that he is the kind of man who will do right by anyone he is dating. In fact, even when he gained his abilities as a sorcerer, he proved willing to give up his personal status and fortune in order to save the world.

So if he is willing to give so much up to save others, even his flaws can be overlooked. Of course, he might annoy you and drive you mad, but at least at the end of the day, we know he will have our back.
