Ranking of Marvel characters based on dateability -18. Mantis

Don’t get me wrong, I know there are a lot of Marvel characters we can be dating, but with so many members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, of course, they are going to pop up quite a bit in our potential dating pool. And one character who I think is a good choice for getting to know is Mantis.

On the one hand, the fact that she is empathic means that she will be understanding and will want to help you be at ease while together. On the other hand, we do have to put a little asterisk on her dating profile where we point out that at one point she was not exactly used for good as it were. After all, she did use her empathy as a way to alter the way other people felt and basically change who they were on a more fundamental level.

However, just because of that little black mark, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve love and romance. We have seen how she is with her fellow Guardians, including Drax, and we think she has proven that she can be trusted not to change our feelings for her in order to benefit her.

Really, we just think it would be nice to go on a date with someone who has empathy for others and can understand how we are feeling, even if those feelings are nervous and a bit stressed. (Dating is hard.)

Mantis is one of the few members of the Guardians of the Galaxy who has a real sense of innocence that just makes us want to take care of her. And that is always nice.
