The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3 ending explained: What does [SPOILER] want?
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s third episode once again left viewers in need of some explanations.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is back with a new episode. Disney Plus‘ latest offering is another Marvel Cinematic Universe installment.
This time, we have Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes back together again. But the pair aren’t fighting each other (not this time, at least). No, they’re teaming up to take on multiple threats as the series will see them collide with the Flag-Smashers, Helmut Zemo and potentially the Power Broker. Is the new Captain America and his trusty partner, Battlestar, set to battle them too?
We don’t know yet. What we do know, however, is that The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s third episode landed on the streaming service this week and fans are once again left with more questions than answers. Another memorable episode conclusion ensured that.
What happened in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3?
The third episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier saw Bucky assist Helmut Zemo in escaping from prison so that he could assist them in figuring out if Hydra was behind the new super soldier serums. This led the trio to Madripoor where they crossed paths with Sharon Carter and discovered that she was still on the run after everything that happened in Captain America: Civil War.
In the end, the crew figured out who was making the serum. Before Sam and Bucky could complete their investigation, however, Zemo killed the man responsible for the serum so that he couldn’t make any more.
As they headed off in search of the Flag-Smashers, Sam, Bucky and Zemo found themselves in Riga, Latvia. However, Bucky took a walk because he knew they were being tracked.
What does the ending of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier episode 3 mean?
The woman that Bucky came across in the closing moments of “Power Broker” was, of course, Ayo. A valued member of the Dora Milaje, she is the second-in-command of the Wakandan special forces group. As for what she’s doing in Latvia? Well, that’s simple. She’s there to either kill or retrieve Zemo.
MCU fans will remember that Zemo orchestrated the killing of King T’Chaka in order to divide the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War. Ayo has clearly taken issue with the fact that Bucky and Sam sprung him from jail so that he could assist them in their mission so the Black Panther star could make her presence felt in a huge way in the next episode.
Bucky knows a thing or two about Wakanda, having spent a lot of time there while he was rediscovering himself, so will the Winter Soldier end up squaring off with Ayo? Or will he be able to convince her that he’s doing what he’s doing for the greater good?
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier adds a new episode on Disney+ every Friday from midnight.
