Centering on two of the universe’s greatest and most beloved characters, Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, the series has primarily been focused on the legacy of Captain America and whether anyone can live up to what Steve Rogers left behind.

The introduction of a new Captain America, John Walker (a.k.a. US Agent), has created more conflict. Sam is still convinced that nobody could ever live up to Steve’s legacy and Bucky isn’t happy that Sam would ever give the shield up because it wasn’t what Captain Rogers would have wanted.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s adventures will continue with the upcoming third episode that looks like it might reintroduce the villain of Captain America: Civil War. After Bucky’s confirmation that he would be paying him a visit, it seems that he and Sam will indeed cross paths with Helmut Zemo in Episode 3.
