Batwoman season 2, episode 12 release date: When does the show return from hiatus?
Batwoman season 2 will be taking a break from The CW but when can we expect it to return to screens?
Ryan Wilder has been busy cleaning up the streets of Gotham City in Batwoman season 2. Making a name for herself as her own hero, the Arrowverse‘s newest crime-fighter has been battling Batman villains like Victor Zsasz and Hush, solving the mystery of the Desert Rose and hunting down the False Face Society.
In recent weeks, the last of those objectives has led her to the treacherous Black Mask and now it’s up to her and her partners to take him down. Portrayed by Peter Outerbridge, he’s a force to be reckoned with and not one to be taken lightly but you can rest assured Gotham’s new Scarlet Knight won’t stop until she saves the city – and her ex-girlfriend Angelique – from him.
However, Batwoman season 2 will be taking a temporary hiatus from The CW.
When does Batwoman season 2 return?
Batwoman season 2 returns to The CW on Sunday, May 2 at 9:00 p.m. ET. This marks a change from the show’s typical air time as it will now air in the later timeslot of the evening.
The reason for its new timeslot is the return of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – which kicks off its sixth season on the network in the 8:00 p.m. slot, bumping Batwoman to 9:00 p.m. instead.
The next episode, titled “Initiate Self-Destruct”, is expected to see Wallis Day officially debut as Kate Kane while Black Mask unveils his plans for the original Scarlet Knight. Elsewhere, Ryan’s identity as Batwoman is potentially compromised, creating friction between Team Bat members.
While it’s certainly unfortunate that the show will be taking a brief hiatus, it’s exciting to think that when it returns, it will be bringing a fellow Arrowverse show with it.
Batwoman season 2 returns to The CW with its twelfth episode on Sunday May 2 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
