This Friday, Amazon Prime’s Invincible will debut the seventh episode of its premiere season. This writer is a huge fan of the comic and applauds the creative team. They’ve done a fantastic job of following the comic book source material and changing certain things while making the TV show fantastic, especially since the modifications make sense. The additions and switches have made the story better. It fits the platform. Invincible is proving that moving away from the original source isn’t always a bad thing.

Episode six showed more of how Mark Grayson’s life as Invincible will always get in the way of things he wants to do. In this case, it was his love life that suffered. We saw him struggle in episode five, but this was different. Mark missing a date with Amber isn’t quite the same as her assuming that he left her in danger.

Mark’s best friend William may have found out Mark’s secret in the latest episode, but Amber didn’t. She just thought Mark was a coward who abandoned her when she needed him. And this led to her meeting a guy. Amber didn’t flirt with him, but Mark saw them talking and assumed it meant that their relationship was over.

Meanwhile, the Mauler Twins are digging up Immortal. This writer won’t spoil what’s going on. The surprise is worth the wait. Just know that this will undoubtedly turn into one of the biggest parts of the series. It will affect Invincible, Robot, the Guardians of the Globe, and, later, the entire universe.

Lastly, Debbie is getting angrier with Nolan (a.k.a. Omni-Man). She knows that he’s hiding something about the death of the original Guardians of the Globe. She just can’t confirm it. Debbie confronted Nolan directly at the end of episode six. As expected, he didn’t take it well. Things are going to get intense in the Grayson household in the next episode.
