On August 28, 2020, the world lost one of its brightest talents with the passing of Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman at the age of 43 from colon cancer. Now to honor the late icon, one artist has teamed up with AdVenture Media, Metaversal and Rarible to launch an exclusive Chadwick Boseman NFT set to be auctioned off in support of The Colon Cancer Foundation.
Timed to the 93rd Academy Awards at which Boseman is nominated for the Lead Actor Oscar for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, 3D generalist and animator Andre Oshea was commissioned to create an exclusive piece of artwork designed to honor the legacy of Boseman.
This exclusive NFT is part of the Everyone Wins’ Nominee Gift Bag and has been designed as a special tribute to the late actor which will help to raise funds for The Colon Cancer Foundation in honor of Boseman.
"“This rare special edition NFT is the very first offered as a tribute to the prolific actor, a unique piece of art which is limited to just 1 edition and will never be minted again,” said Isaac Rudansky, founder of AdVenture Media in a statement. “This NFT commemorates Chadwick’s incredible legacy while supporting the nationwide initiative to bring 10,000 colorectal screenings to underserved communities in 2021 through CCF.”"
The exclusive Chadwick Boseman NFT features a golden bust of Boseman encased in a glowing golden archway that is surrounded by colorful greenery. Check it out below:
