Best DC movies and shows on HBO Max: Death of Superman

The DCEU put forth a decent effort at portraying the Death of Superman in Batman V.S Superman, which already had several other stories jammed into the very bloated runtime. This resulted in the expiration of the Man of Steel not coming off as the way it was intended to be and fans are still looking to the skies for the right version of that tale to emerge.

The answer for them was not in the skies above but in the form of a DC animated movie called The Death of Superman. Imagine if Dawn of Justice was actually a Man of Steel sequel not suffering from a plague of poorly written and misunderstood Batman moments because that is precisely what this flick is from start to finish.

Death of Superman won the Home Media Award for Best Superhero Disc, beating out top-notch players like Avengers: Infinity War and Batman: The Animated Series. It has an exceptional Rotten Tomatoes score and has been revered as one of DC’s Best Animated films in the past five years. The film was also a top seller when it came to home media and Blu-Ray sales.

There is no denying Batman V. Superman isn’t good, and if fans are looking for something better should look to the Death of Superman as odd as that sounds.
