Best DC movies and shows on HBO Max: Batman Vs. Robin

Batman V. Superman didn’t turn out to be the epic slugfests fans were hoping to get when they waited in line to see this cinematic endeavor. Instead, they got a mess of a story that took forever to get to the main event, which was somewhat lackluster in itself and culminated with the two coming to terms because their mothers have the same name. Luckily there is another showdown DC title that has a matchup that doesn’t disappoint in the form of Batman Vs. Robin.

If the Dark Knight is going to take on a formidable opponent that isn’t the Man of Steel, why not make it his trusty sidekick, the Boy Wonder himself. This time around, it isn’t Tim Drake or Jason Todd rocking the signature Robin fatigues. Instead, it’s Batman and Talia Al’Guhl’s son Damian who, after the events of Son of Batman, to which this film acts as a direct sequel, has been living with Bruce Wayne and patrolling the streets of Gotham.

The film kicks off when Robin confronts Dollmaker only to see him get killed by someone in an owl costume. Batman blames Robin and takes him out of action prompting him to go rogue and discover the Court of Owls, who pits the son against the father in a must-watch battle.

The story is inspired by Batman Court of Owls and the movie had some solid reviews earning a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
