Is Spider-Woman on Disney Plus?

No essential Marvel animated shows list would be complete without one of marvel’s earliest animated series making the cut. Spider-Woman made her way to the small screen in animated form a mere two years after her comic book debut and paved the way for several other iconic Marvel animation titles.

The super-heroine dedicated to fighting evil while weaving a web of justice had her origin changed from the Hydra turned hero version Archie Goodwin and Marie Severin Severin developed when she made her debut in February 19077 within the pages of Marvel Spotlight #32. Jessica Drew got her powers in the well-crafted cartoon when she was bitten by a poisonous spider in her father’s lab leading her pops to inject her with Spider Serum #34 giving her extraordinary abilities including being able to fly, stick to walls, and shoot electrical Venom blast and web out of her hands.

In the series, Jessica Drew runs Justice Magazine as the publication’s editor and when she needs to can literally spin into action whenever necessary. While it just spanned one sixteen-episode season on ABC, Marvel’s first female superhero to headline her own animated series took on all comers including aliens from the planet Gravitron, evil magicians, giant Spiders, and even Dormammu, who fans remember from the film Doctor Strange.

The series is available to binge in its entirety on Disney Plus and is a must-watch for anyone that has any love for the arched heroes of Marvel comics.
