10. Is someone after Harley?
Comic book: Batman No. 107
Harley Quinn has been calling herself Batman’s sidekick since she helped him in Joker War. She may not officially have that title, but she is a member of the Bat-Family. Harley has kept her aggressive and murderous impulses in check and continues to do what’s right. In Batman No. 107, she goes as far as making sure that a former Arkham Asylum patient gets help rather than being lost in the system. As she escapes (thanks to Ghostmaker), however, we see someone is tracking Harley. It appears that they aren’t an enemy either.
Why is this important?
Someone is always going to be after Harley Quinn. She’s rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way. For once though, someone looking for her could be a good thing. The woman who was looking for Harley told a mysterious person named Rex that Harley is back in Gotham. She then says that there’s still hope.
Could this be for something evil? Most likely. However, this writer chooses to look for something less obvious. The woman had a rose and two animals that looked like they were made of plants. Whoever this is may be looking for Harley to help Poison Ivy. Harley stated that she isn’t ready to make amends with Ivy yet (Harley Quinn No. 1), but she may have to confront her sooner than she wants to.
