Stargirl and Justice Society are returning for another season, and it’s before their next set adventures have even aired yet.
A few months before season 2 is set to premiere, it has been announced that DC’s Stargirl has already been renewed for a third season by The CW. This announcement comes alongside the network’s renewal of Kung Fu, which has just aired the first four episodes of its freshman season.
Stargirl and Kung Fu join 13 other shows that The CW has renewed for its 2021-2022 season, including all of the current Arrowverse on the network (Supergirl aside as it’s ending after its sixth season).
What is Stargirl season 3 about?
As to where Stargirl season 3 will head story-wise, it’s unclear right as we’ve yet to see a glimpse of what season 2 will hold. All we know about season 2 right now is that it will have a much more mystic-focus than season 1 had, with the main villain of the season being Eclipso.

However, other than that, the next season of Stargirl hasn’t really been showcased yet when it comes to anything regarding marketing, which isn’t surprising as it doesn’t premiere for a few more months.
Potentially though, and this is obviously a long shot, season 3 could contain a crossover with Matt Reeves’ The Batman in some shape or form as both Stargirl and The Batman are said to exist on Earth-2. Is it a long shot? Absolutely, but it could be really interesting if it does indeed happen in even just a mention within the show.
As for season 2 though, the wait for it will just be a few more months as the premiere date for Stargirl season 2 was announced a few days ago, which will be August 10. It will share Tuesday nights with Superman & Lois (and Supergirl after that show finishes its first season), taking the 8pm time slot, which normally belongs to The Flash.
