5. The new Captain America soars into action

While many were curious to see what the gift Sam received from Bucky was, most had a pretty good idea of exactly what was in that case. The season finale of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was quick to showcase the goods. It turns out, like many had predicted, that Wakanda had indeed provided Sam with his very own Captain America suit and wings.

In the finale, Sam gets to use the suit right away as he goes into battle with Batroc and the Flag Smashers, saving many of those in danger at the GRC meeting. His suit allows for him to stand up to foes like Batroc in a fight, while also allowing him to perform aerial rescues, such as helping the hostages in the helicopter. And as far as costume design goes, the MCU absolutely nailed it as Sam’s costume looked like it was ripped straight out of the comics. The different variation of the red, white and blue color scheme made him stand out as his own version of Captain America – and as the future of MCU.

Throughout the episode he also stands out as a symbol for hope and it goes without saying that he would have definitely made Steve Rogers proud as the new Captain America.
