This Tuesday, a new episode of Supergirl season 6 airs on The CW. The veteran show has been airing its final season on screens since March and now it’s back with another new installment.
While season 6 of the Arrowverse series has been very much focused on getting the Girl of Steel out of the Phantom Zone, the latest episode took a trip into Kara’s past to make that happen. Yes, Brainy and Nia were forced to go back in time to Midvale in 2009 so that they could obtain some of Kara’s DNA from a time when she solar-flared and temporarily lost her powers.

As predicted by many, nothing about time travel was easy – especially in a world that involved aliens seeking to claim other aliens as rewards. With Brainy and Nia accidentally changing the timeline after their interactions with younger versions of Kara, Alex, Kenny and Cat Grant, how can they set things right and bring back Supergirl’s DNA to save the current version of her from the Phantom Zone?
The upcoming episode, “Prom Again!”, will see Brainy and Nia attempt to escape from the blue aliens that kidnapped them and course-correct the timeline. The episode will be directed by Alex Danvers herself, Chyler Leigh, and looks to be a major one for the series.
