Based on the comic book series by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, the eight-episode show delves into the story of the first superheroes to ever grace the world with their presence. The problem, however, is that it isn’t the 1930s anymore and the world has changed so much that being a superhero isn’t what it used to be.

The beloved old guard of heroes now must attempt to keep their wayward children on track while also living up to their once-majestic reputation as the heroes that the world needed. Can they juggle all of that and save the world again? And will they receive the assistance they need from the next generation?
The series stars Josh Duhamel as Sheldon Samspon (a.k.a. The Utopian), Ben Daniels as his brother Walter (a.k.a. Brainwave), Leslie Bibb as Sheldon’s wife Grace (a.k.a. the uber powerful Lady Liberty), Elena Kampouris as Sheldon and Grace’s daughter Chloe and Andrew Horton as their son Brandon (a.k.a. The Paragon), Mike Wade as Fitz Small (a.k.a. The Flare) and Matt Lanter as George Hutchence (a.k.a. Skyfox).
