4. Regé-Jean Page

Looking toward television actors could be in the future for Warner Bros for JJ Abrams Superman. Regé-Jean Page is a guy the studio should have their eyes on. The London-born actor recently made a huge impact with his rise to superstardom in Netflix’s series Bridgerton – and fans of the series will tell you how great he is. His departure from the shoe left fans in shock and producer Shonda Rhimes floored by the reactions.

Page has barely scratched the surface as an actor, but he’s already shown off his versatility. Before Bridgerton, he played the wild, wide-eyed slave, Chicken George in BET’s Roots remake. Page has also made his presence felt on the big screen, appearing in movies like Mortal Engines, Sylvie’s Love, and he’s now set to star in the live-action adaption of Dungeons and Dragons.

As for Superman, the 31-year-old actor looks ready-made to be a comic book hero. He looks young enough to play a fresh-faced reporter pretending to be anything but extraordinary and he would undoubtedly look if he were to suit up as the last son of Krypton.

Page showed interest in being a Kryptonian once before in the short-lived Krypton series and a recent report suggests that he lost out on the chance to play Kal-El’s grandfather because he was Black. Perhaps WB could make up for their loss in a big way by casting him as the next Man of Steel.
