Red Hood evolves, Hulk returns and 7 jaw-dropping comic book moments you need to see
By Mark Lynch
Red Hood becomes a Peacekeeper, Johnny Storm is an idiot, and more huge comic book moments from this past week!
Every week, something major happens in the world of comic books. Last week, we found out that Storm will be leaving the Marauders, the Hulk and Betty Banner would be fighting the Avengers and we discovered who Peacekeeper 01 was in Batman.
This week is no different for the worlds of Marvel and DC as there were some more huge developments. On that note, here are the comic book moments you need to know that happened this week.
7. The Hulk remembers
Comic book: Heroes Reborn No. 2
The Heroes Reborn series jumped right into the world-changing that was taking place. In this world, there are no Avengers; Tony Stark never became Iron Man, Thor never became the God of Thunder, and Captain America remained frozen in ice. Without them, the Squadron Supreme became Earth’s greatest heroes. As things tend to happen, someone always remembers the original world at some point in time. In the beginning, it was just Blade who recalled what things were like. But now, it looks like the Hulk remembers too.
He confronts Hyperion as his secret identity, Mark Milton, at his school. It all ends with Hyperion attacking Hulk and “killing” Hulk seven times after asking why the world was wrong.
Why is this important?
Normally, this wouldn’t happen until much later in a series but this is only a seven part mini-series, so it’s not shocking that things are moving so fast. It is shocking, however, that Hulk is the one that remembers. Why is he the one that remembers? Knowing Jason Aaron, there will be a reason for Hulk’s recollection down the line.
