Disney Plus can really do no wrong right now. The digital streaming platform houses an abundance of Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm’s greatest projects and it shows no signs of slowing down in those well-documented “streaming wars”.

Having recently made waves with its own original programming, Disney+ has produced the critical and commercial darling Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian. It has also set its sights on expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe through the Marvel Studios-produced shows WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the upcoming Loki and a host of other planned shows set within the MCU.
Its latest original, however, comes in the form of Star Wars: The Bad Batch. As the title confirms, it is set within the Star Wars continuity and is a spin-off of the highly popular Star Wars: The Clone Wars. It focuses on a group of elite squad troopers with genetic mutations.
The show unveiled its first episode on May 4 (the Star Wars fandom’s beloved “Star Wars” day) before the service then moved the show to Fridays – where it will release a new episode on a weekly basis.
