Why Charlize Theron should join the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Will Charlize Theron play Mystique in the MCU?
It’s one thing to look the part. It’s another to play it. But there is no doubt in this writer’s mind that Charlize Theron is capable of crushing the role of Mystique. Throughout her career, we have seen her be devious, dangerous, cunning, and sensual – all things that we’ve seen Mystique do in Marvel Comics.
She could also nail the spy element of the character. A Mystique spy movie would be beyond cool and it wouldn’t be much of an effort for her to pull any of this off because she’d have no problem capturing the character.
The one thing that could cause an issue for any actor playing this character is the fact that Mystique is a shapeshifter, meaning that a good portion of the time the actor portraying her wouldn’t actually be portraying her. As a result, she may spend more time looking like other actors than, say, Charlize Theron. Although, there is no doubt that Theron would make an impact everytime she’s on-screen.
All that being said, if Mystique isn’t the character you want to see Charlize Theron play, there are other roles worthy of the Hollywood star.
