The Flash season 7: Is Cisco leaving The Flash in 2021?

Cisco Ramon has been a fixture of The Flash since the show began, but will he be leaving it this season?

Cisco Ramon has been a huge part of The Flash since the series began back in 2014. Portrayed by Carlos Valdes, he has been a reliable member of Team Flash since the S.T.A.R. Labs team first began fighting crime in the first season and he has proven himself a valuable part of the team at every given opportunity since then – both behind the desk and in the field.

Over the last couple of years, however, there has been increasing speculation that the character would be leaving the Arrowverse show. The rumors were more prevalent than ever after the show’s fifth season but actor Carlos Valdes denied them, confirming that he would return for season 6.

However, things have changed and the character’s current storyline has left a lot of viewers wondering if Cisco is getting ready to bid farewell to Central City.

Is Carlos Valdes leaving The Flash season 7?

Cisco Ramon will be leaving Central City behind in the near-future as Carlos Valdes has confirmed his departure from the show. But he’s not leaving just yet as the season 7 finale is the last episode for which he will be credited as a series regular.

Fans have noticed the character’s recent desire to leave. Ever since meeting girlfriend Kamilla Huang, Cisco has been gravitating towards the notion of having a normal life. That all started by taking the metahuman cure to remove his powers so that he could leave Vibe behind. However, now over a season later, he and Kamilla want to start life afresh in Miami.

While it will undoubtedly be sad to see an original Team Flash member leave the show, it’s important to note that showrunner Eric Wallace will be leaving the door open for a potential return in season 8 or beyond.
