Greatest comic book characters – 90. Bullseye

First comic book appearance: Daredevil No. 131

Bullseye is a vile human being. For the right price and motivation, he’ll kill anyone and anything. It doesn’t matter if they’re women, children, or someone helpless. He’s even done jobs for free for the thrill of it. There’s not a lot of depth to his character. Nor has he had to evolve. That’s part of why he’s on here. He’s an apex predator. He never had to change.

You can throw Bullseye in any comic book and he’s a threat. He once invaded a mutant island and Cyclops recognized him as one of the biggest threats (Avengers / X-Men: Utopia). This was a war that had an omega-level mutant and the God of War. But, when anything in your hand is a weapon, you get that person as far away as possible.

Greatest comic book characters – 89. Daken

First comic book appearance: Wolverine Origins No 10, full appearance Wolverine Origins No. 11

Daken was a character we never knew we needed. His obsession with beating and being better than his father (Wolverine) was cool. What set him over the top was his personality.

In the beginning, he was an arrogant guy who would do literally anything to get what he needed. It made him a hated character that you couldn’t help but love. As time went on, his hatred for Logan went away. Now, they’re close. A change that made him more than just a regular character.

Daken has become a hero, joined X-Factor on Krakoa, and been vulnerable around his teammates. These are all things no one knew would happen. In another ten years, this writer expects him to be in the top 50.
