There have been some recent updates in regards to Titans season 3.

Fans have been waiting a long time for season 3 of DC’s Titans. It has been a year and a half since the second season aired on screens and now, after some time of uncertainty about the show’s return, it seems that return is now upon us.

As revealed via a recent post on the DC’s Titans social media accounts, the show’s third season will be released in August. In that post, there was a recording of the main cast, with each of them giving their thoughts on what to expect from the impending third season before they revealed when the former DC Universe series will premiere on its new home HBO Max.

Titans season 3 release date

Season 3 of Titans will premiere in August 2021. Though an official date was not announced just yet, the confirmation of a summer release (which had been rumored) will undoubtedly please fans.

The cast and crew are currently still filming and are expected to wrap principal photography in June.

What is Titans season 3 about?

Much of Titans season 3 and its story is currently unknown. However, a recent press release shed some light on what fans can expect from the upcoming season. It reads:

"“TITANS follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find where they belong. In season three, circumstances draw our heroes to Gotham City, where they will reunite with old friends and face new threats.”"

From the brief synopsis we can probably guess that these “new threats” will indeed be in the form of Blackfire and Scarecrow – both of whom are confirmed to appear in the season. There could also be some trouble from Curran Walters’ Jason Todd – who will evolve into Red Hood.

How many episodes are there in Titans season 3?

Though it hasn’t been officially confirmed by HBO Max or Warner Bros. TV yet, an earlier report suggested that that there will be 13 episodes – which sounds pretty accurate as last season consisted of that amount too.
