Black Widow deserves the excitement of fans despite the multiple delays it has faced.

Over the last year a lot of films have had their premieres and release dates delayed. Among those movies is Black Widow. A project that’s had more than its share of release date changes, it looks like it may finally hit theaters (and Disney Plus Premier Access) this summer. Marvel released the latest trailer in April, confirming its official release date: Black Widow will hit theaters July 9, 2021.

Considering the circumstances, we should be very happy that the project is finally making its way to screens. Some people may not care about the movie anymore, arguing that it’s a prequel and may not affect the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity but that’s not necessarily true and it should reinvigorate the MCU on the movie front. If not for WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and Loki (coming in June), the Marvel momentum may have slowed down too much for people to get excited again. However, even without the movies, you should still be pumped to see Black Widow.

Black Widow and Marvel Easter Eggs

Easter Eggs are one of the most fun parts of comic book movies. You get a glimpse into possible futures or references that relate back to past projects. Sometimes they even involve references to the comic books themselves. Black Widow will have these as well.

There will undoubtedly be plenty of speculation (much like we saw with WandaVision). Will there be a hint to mutants using the Russian villain Omega Red? Will a comment be made about four Americans making a trip to space that could make a connection to the Fantastic Four? Are we going to see anything and assume Mephisto is coming (WandaVision, remember?)? All of this is possible and so much more.
