NEW YORK, NY – MAY 14: Madame Tussauds New York celebrates their ‘Marvel Month of May’ by unveiling a wax figure of ‘Wolverine’, as portrayed by actor Hugh Jackman, flexing his muscles with claws drawn sweating it out along side New York Sports Club members on May 14, 2013 in New York City. A new villain takes out Superman and Black Adam on their own, a deadly X-Men villain returns, Dr. Doom gets a new and hilarious body, and so many more unforgettable comic book moments from May.

The comic book world has been rocked this May. Storm revealed she was quitting the Marauders after the Hellfire Gala, Peacekeeper one was born, and Mr. Freeze was selling drugs. That was only the first two weeks of the month. The following weeks gave comic book fans even more exciting moments.

With that in mind, let’s review some of the months best comic book moments.

11. Wolverine goes to Death

Comic book: Wolverine No. 12

The battle between Wolverine and the vampires has reached a new level. Dracula wants Logan’s blood to allow his people to go out during the day, so Beast comes up with a plan to use Logan’s cloned body as a bomb. This ends with the death of a lot of vampires and Dracula running away as a result.

Logan takes his friend Louise somewhere she can continue to be a vampire without having to kill to survive. They go to the Arakko and tell their leader what Dracula is doing. That leader is Death. He says, “If you’re seeking an ally in death, you have come to the right place.”

Why is this important?

The conflict between Krakoa and Arakko is tense (check out X 0f Swords for more). Logan going to Death means that he’s exhausted every other option. Although, there could be respect between Logan and the rest of the Arakkoans. Their way of life works better for him than Krakoa. This could be the beginning of a trend. Maybe Logan will leave Krakoa and goes to Arakko in the future, who knows?
