7. Yara Flores is a wanted woman

Comic book: Wonder Girl No. 1

Yara Flores is on her way back to Brazil. It’s the first time she’s been back to her place of birth in years. Meanwhile, there’s a strong feeling all around the world and beyond. Something is about to happen.

On Olympus, Hera says that it’s time to put her plan in action. On Themyscira, Nubia says that it’s time to go get her. In Bana-Mighdall, their queen says to kill Yara if she doesn’t come with them peacefully. If that’s not bad enough, Yara is grabbed off a bridge and dragged into the water by a mermaid.

Why is this important?

Everything that’s going on is tied to Yara in some way. Hela is never to be trusted. Whatever her plan is, believe that something sinister is going on. Nubia, on the other hand, is an honorable woman. But even though she may want what’s best for Yara, that doesn’t mean it’s right for her.

The Queen of Bana-Mighdall said to kill “her” but she didn’t say Yara. Could she be talking about the mermaid that grabbed Yara? Then there’s the mermaid herself to think about. Why did she bring her into the water? Is she involved? And let’s not forget that the weapon the mermaid used was the same one Yara used in DC Future State.

Looks like more things from that story are coming true in this one…
