Loki episode 1 runtime: How long is the season premiere?
After much anticipation, Loki finally made its presence felt. But how long is the series premiere?
Loki found itself near the top of the vast majority of this year’s “most anticipated TV show” lists. That’s not really a surprise when you consider that it’s part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it streams on Disney Plus and is led by the charismatic and charming Tom Hiddleston.
The show had a tough act to follow, coming after WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – which are literally the most successful shows of the year – but if anyone is capable of making a similar kind of impact, it’s definitely Loki.
The show has arrived on the streaming service and the world is talking about it (though, if we’re being honest, the world has been talking about Loki all year). With its premiere comes a lot of intrigue, questions and discussion among the MCU fans.
On that note, one of the major points of discussion among those fans is the runtime of the premiere episode and how it compares to the runtime of previous Disney+ episodes.
How long is Loki season 1, episode 1?
Loki‘s series premiere clocks in at 51 minutes. That makes it longer than almost all of WandaVision‘s episodes (it’s the same length as the series finale) and shorter than almost all of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s episodes. On average though, the premiere is essentially the same length as the latter’s installments.
The Marvel Disney Plus shows usually feature episodes that run between 50 to 60 minutes but there will occasionally be exceptions to that rule. Regardless, according to Kevin Feige, the finished season-long projects will amount to around six hours of content.
Loki adds new episodes to Disney+ every Wednesday for the next five weeks.
