This Wednesday, a new episode of Loki streams on Disney Plus. The Marvel Cinematic Universe series made an impressive debut last week and now it’s back with its sophomore outing.

Loki wasted little time making an impact. Following in the footsteps of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, the six-part series opened with a record-breaking premiere episode that saw it become the most-watched premiere on Disney Plus in one day, drawing in a massive 890K viewers within 24 hours of its arrival on the service.

The third MCU spin-off this year, it picks up after Avengers: Endgame and sees Tom Hiddleston’s troublesome trickster make his way through time with the Tesseract – only to find himself confronted by the mysterious Time Variance Authority.

After a long and repetitive introduction, Loki finally saw that there was no way of defeating the organization or changing his fate. And as a result, this time anomaly selected the only option that would allow him to live: Join the TVA and stop a murderous copy of himself that is slaying TVA agents across time. With the show just getting started, you can bet that a lot of mischief awaits Loki and the TVA in the next five episodes – and we will undoubtedly get an introduction to that in the upcoming second installment.
