Loki episode 2 runtime: How long is the second episode?
Loki’s sophomore adventure is here, but just how long is Episode 2 of the MCU series?
Loki is back on screens. The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s clever and mischievous trickster returned to screens last week in the debut episode of his very own Disney Plus series.
An intentionally expositional hour of world-building (or world-extending), Loki‘s premiere episode caught us – and, more importantly, the God of Mischief himself – up on all the events that led the titular character to this moment in time (literally).
Stuck in the Time Variance Authority’s headquarters and unaware of his future, Loki learned all about the redemption arc that the original version of the character went on and how there was no way for him to avoid death at the hands of Thanos after his noble sacrifice in Avengers: Infinity War. It was this that then led him to agreeing to join the TVA and help them hunt down who, or what, was killing the organization’s agents across time.
With Loki’s MCU history now in the books, the second installment can focus on setting up the show itself. But how long will we get to spend with the titular trickster in this sophomore outing?
How long is Loki season 1, episode 2?
Loki‘s second episode clocks in at 54 minutes in length. That makes it longer than all of WandaVision‘s episodes and on average the same length of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier‘s episodes. It also means that it runs three minutes longer than its own premiere (which had a 51-minute runtime).
It’s well-established by now that these shows’ chapters tend to run longer than the typical 42 – 44 minute length of American TV programming episodes, with each of the six-part series essentially serving as their own six-hour movie when all episodes are combined, so this runtime is pretty standard. In fact, we should expect all of the subsequent episodes of the show to have a similar runtime.
Loki adds new episodes to Disney+ every Wednesday for the next four weeks.
