Fans can’t wait for Titans season 3 to make its presence felt on our TV screens, so here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming third season. 

DC’s Titans was the very first DC Universe show and it wasted little time becoming its most popular. The show first arrived in 2018, and after a divisive first season, it found its footing in a more optimistic and enjoyable second.

The show has yet to return for its much-anticipated third season but we know that it’s on the way and will debut on HBO Max in the near-future, so let’s take a moment to check out all we need to know about it.

Titans season 3 premiere date

Titans season 3 will premiere on HBO Max on August 12, 2021. The first three episodes will arrive together before a new one is added to the streaming service every Thursday.

The show  would have more than likely debuted on our screens by now if it had been any other year. It usually streamed on DC Universe beginning in the first week of September. However, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus prevented the cast and crew of Titans from returning to work in the summer like they usually did.

The cast then returned to production late last year and then wrapped in June 2021.

Titans season 3 cast

Titans‘ cast grew a great deal in the second season and the vast majority of that cast will be returning. Of course Brenton Thwaites will reprise his role as Dick Grayson/Robin, as will Anna Diop as Kory Anders/Starfire, Teagan Croft as Rachel Roth/Raven, Ryan Potter as Garfield Logan/Beast Boy, Curran Walters as Jason Todd/Robin, Conor Leslie as Donna Troy/Wonder Girl, Minka Kelly as Dawn Granger/Dove, Alan Ritchson as Hank Hall/Hawk, Chelsea Zhang as Rose Wilson/Ravager and Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy.

They will also be joined by Damaris Lewis who will reprise her role as Blackfire the character rumored to be the big bad of season 3) and Savannah Welch as Barbara Gordon.

The teaser trailer for Titans season 3 will be released later today before a full-length trailer arrives next month.

What is Titans season 3 about?

Titans season 3’s plot remains a mystery as of right now, but we do know some major plot details that will take place throughout.

For starters, the season will officially introduce Barbara Gordon – the daughter of Commissioner James Gordon who is, of course, best known as Batgirl in the comics (she also spent quite the stint as Oracle). Moreover, it will also focus on Jason Todd’s character progression, as the Bat-Family’s wayward Robin will soon find himself becoming the infamous Red Hood.

As mentioned earlier, the third season will primarily focus on the arrival of Blackfire. The villain was something of a recurring presence throughout the second season and it came to an end with her actual arrival on Earth. No doubt she will be causing trouble for Starfire and the rest of the Titans throughout season 3.
