Who is this new Loki that the TVA is following?

Episode 2 of Disney PlusLoki was incredible. It was full of many great moments but the highlight obviously was the reveal of the Variant a.k.a. the other Loki (a.k.a. Lady Loki). It was a reveal that confirmed all of the rumors that this entity wasn’t going to look like the one we know.

There were plenty of shocking aspects to this. Among them was the Variant being blond and using tricks that the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s God of Mischief wouldn’t use. But this isn’t the only thing that makes them different. The Variant didn’t even want to be called Loki. It made this writer wonder who they are in their home reality.

On that note, here are some possible options that could be true in regards to who this Loki Variant really is.

5. Loki’s daughter

The moment that the Variant didn’t want to be called Loki, this writer thought about Amazing Spider-Man No. 504 – an issue where it’s revealed that the God of Mischief has a daughter. When Spider-Man was shocked, Loki said that he’s had hundreds over the centuries. If it’s true in the 616 Marvel Comics universe, then why not in the MCU?

This could explain why the Variant hates that name. Loki is arrogant enough to name all of his kids after himself. He doesn’t seem like he’d be a good father; too busy trying to take over the universe to pay attention to his children. The Variant could hate the name of the person who abandoned them. This seems to be the most likely scenario.
