Is Fantastic Four bad?

There have actually been three Fantastic Four movies. And with those movies, we have had some pretty great actors taking on the roles of these heroes (and the villains too). But the problem with all of these films has been the execution.

Unlike the comics these stories are based on, the movies never seem to have the same energy and hype. And that is enough reason to skip these superhero movies.

But, the other reason why these are kind of at the bottom of my superhero watch list is because it never seems to go anywhere. It is like there is no hill to climb because they keep climbing. There doesn’t feel like a climax because it could all be drama.

Even liking the actors, the movies are not fun. They just lack something to make them special and engaging.

While that doesn’t mean that they are awful, they just don’t make you want to come back for more. And if you don’t want to come back for more, there is no reason to tune in at all.

Hopefully, if the MCU really does decide to give this property another shot, they will find a way to actually bring the fun and magic that they have offered us in movies like Guardians of the Galaxy (see next slide on that!).

Verdict: Skip
