Is The Dark Knight worth watching?

If there is one superhero movie that should be on anyone’s watch list, it might just be The Dark Knight. Not only is this movie pretty well aligned to the comics it is based on, but the acting is brilliant, the dark turn of the characters actually works, and there is something about this film that comes off as something more than a comics-based storyline.

Whether you love Christian Bale’s take on Batman or not, it is hard to deny that he made this role his own. Every time he donned the suit, he was the Dark Knight. And while there are three movies in this series, and each of them is brilliant in their own way. There is something to be said for the first movie when you are introducing a character or a world, even one so many people are familiar with.

And that’s not all. When it comes to The Dark Knight, its brilliance is in the fact that it might just be the most realistic of all the superhero movies made. Not only does it feel like there really could be a Batman out there in the world doing these heroic deeds, but the fact that he is flawed and the world he is trying to protect is just as flawed as he is makes it feel relatable.

If you have ever tried to be a better person and help others, you know that it can be a struggle to remain unjaded by the cruelty of the world. And in The Dark Knight, we see a man who struggles with his identity and what it means to be a hero for others.

This is by far one of the best superhero movies ever, and it is not to be missed.

Verdict: Watch
